I have a greyscale TIFF I need to convert to JPEG to post as an attachment. In photoshop I cannot save as JPEG, nor can I change to 8-bit as I realise JPEG is only 8bits per channel.
If anyone can do this, please advise

Wooo,
I figured it out. I was sent a TIFF that appeared as bitmap in image->mode of photoshop CS. The only option was greyscale as a mode to change to and once selected allowed the choice of 8 or 16 bit. Clicked 8 and saved as JPEG. Hope this is of use.
