thanks for posting this, I've just update mine. I'm sure I won't use much of the improvements but the improve buffer for RAWs could be useful.

I don't have any fast cards, but have just done a speed/buffer check with a Kingston 16Gb 266x card this resulted in 22 full size raw images in under 4 secs.

Glad to hear it is doing what it's ment to do. I will have to look into auto ISO as I've never used it but many people as talking about the improvements to it being one of the big things with this update.

Programmable ISO is a boon for me as my eyes are not to good, resulting occassionally under exposure. With progarmmable ISO I can set the range to a maximum that I know I'll be happy with. At the moment I've set the Max to 400 ISO. It's on very rare occassions that I would ever go above this figure.

This link takes you to Canon UK for the 7D firmware upgrade - International members might prefer to access canon for their own country

There have been a number of 7D owners experiencing freeze-ups with V2. Canon yesterday released a new update to prevent this problem. Harry |

Yep, had problems with mine a couple of times while on holiday after upgrading to version 2.0. Missed some shots of close raptors so was very annoyed, why do things always play up at the most inopportune time? Now updated to the latest version so will see.
